HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSFORMERS

A high voltage transformers, with models Type SI/HV7, HV5, and HV3, is a specialized electrical device designed to transform electrical voltage from one level to a significantly higher level. These transformers are commonly used in various applications, including scientific research, industrial processes, and electrical testing, where high-voltage power is required for specific equipment or experiments.

Types of High Voltage Transformers

  • Step-Up Transformers: Designed to increase the input voltage to a higher output voltage. Most commonly used type for high voltage applications.
  • Instrument Transformers: Used with metering devices and measurement instruments to transform voltages to safer proportional levels. Allow accurate voltage readings.
  • Electrostatic Transformers: Utilize electrostatic induction between a primary coil and secondary electrodes. Can produce exceptionally high output voltages.
  • Tesla Coils: Air-core resonant transformer circuits. Produce very high AC voltages at radio frequencies. Mainly used for demonstrations.
